I kept looking at the inspiration picture provided in the latest challenge at
Time Out Challenges and could't make up my mind whether I wanted to use black and white stripes on my card or white and gold (the seat and one of the cushions)...so I decided to use both...
This is the challenge photo and as you can see,I took a whole lot of inspiration from it..
I started by creating the front panel for my card...I cut the black and white striped paper at an angle and adhered it onto a piece of black cardstock...I then used a pierced rectangle die to neaten up the panel and cut off the excess...I adhered this panel onto a white card base...
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I adhered white and gold lace strips that I die cut using the Lawn Fawn lacy borders die and then used a large heart die to cut out the main element of my card...I adhered this heart on the card front using some black craft foam underneath...
And finally,I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on white cardstock and die cut it using the coordinating die...I also die cut the same four times from black cardstock and adhered it under the main sentiment...this was just to make sure that the sentiment doesn't merge with the white and gold heart in the background...I placed a small red die cut heart above the sentiment and my card was ready...
I am so glad you stopped by my blog today...Hope your day is fabulous and wonderful...!!
